Getting through the list of ‘not that easy to get to’ countries – San Marino was next on the list. There’s a regular-ish shuttle bus between Rimini and San Marino. Alternatively, there’s the service bus to the border with another local bus going forward – Google Maps has the info!
Birrificio Abusivo Via XXV Marzo, 27, 47895 Domagnano, San Marino.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to visit the only true brewery in San Marino – the website is currently out of order and they don’t reply to messages on Facebook, Instagram or emails – I even managed to find the personal account of the brewer but still no answer.
Different parts of the internet seemed to have wildly different opening hours too. They did make a post to Facebook a few days after I attempted to visit to say they’d won an aware and their beers are available at a few bars and shops in San Marino town too. Last attempted visit: November 2025
Birrificio Artigianale Sammarinese / Titanbrau Via del Piazzaro , 11 – 47891 Falciano
Titanbrau are situated in a little village near to the border with Italy. They have a shop (!), the brewer does reply and he was going to be open when I was there – result. Or so I thought. The beers used to be brewed on site but not anymore – they’re now brewed in Pesaro which is definitely in Italy. Shame as the brewer was a very sociable guy.
Just over the road is a bar – Don Camillo who had a few localish beers. Last visited: November 2025
